As a Print and Mass Mailing Machine Operator, you'll process high-volume, confidential mailings that keep important information moving across Ontario. Join a team that delivers essential government communications people rely on.
In this position, you will:
• set up and operate machines that print, fold, insert, seal, and apply postage
• follow clear instructions for each job and adjust machine settings as needed
• review your work, resolve minor issues, and report larger problems
• perform basic maintenance and track supplies
• receive, and organize incoming shipments
• help with other mailing tasks and support team members as needed
Requirements
Technical skills
You demonstrate:
• experience setting up, operating, and adjusting printing or mailing machines (or similar equipment)
• the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
• the ability to use computers to follow instructions, track work, and update records accurately
• proficiency with computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel), email and other digital tools to support daily tasks
Learning and problem-solving
You demonstrate:
• a willingness and ability to learn new tools, systems, or processes on the job
• the ability to solve problems by following instructions or asking for help when needed
• the ability to take feedback and use it to grow your skills and adapt to new tasks
Organization and attention to detail
You demonstrate:
• the ability to follow clear instructions and complete tasks accurately and on time
• attention to detail by reviewing your work and identifying errors before they affect the final result
• organizational skills to manage materials, track supplies, and stay on top of multiple tasks
• adaptability when priorities shift, while staying focused on quality, safety, and deadlines
Communication and teamwork
You demonstrate:
• clear, respectful communication when working with others, including team members and supervisors
• a willingness to ask questions, share updates, and report issues when needed
• the ability to work well with others to achieve shared goals
