(NAAW) 2025

Join us in celebrating National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) — a time dedicated to recognizing the valuable contributions of individuals with disabilities and promoting a more accessible, inclusive society. This year’s events include a mix of virtual and in-person experiences focused on awareness, advocacy, and community connection.

Day 1: Tuesday, May 27 – Virtual 

• Opening Ceremony

Start the week with a virtual welcome featuring remarks.

• Inclusivity and Information Session

Gain insights into accessibility initiatives, support services, and the importance of inclusive practices in education and everyday life.

Day 2: Wednesday, May 28  Wellness & Work - Red Shirt Day

• Red Shirt Day for AccessAbility and Inclusion

Show your support by wearing red to stand in solidarity with people living with disabilities.

• Wellness and Work Session

Learn about wellness strategies and inclusive work environments through engaging activities and talks.

• Free event t-shirts and goodies

• Interactive booths with wellness resources

• Storytelling session featuring lived experiences and inspiring journeys

• Fun, community-building activities

Day 3: Friday, May 30 Community & Safety

• Employer Engagement Session

Connect with inclusive employers and discover accessible career opportunities and workplace practices.

• Community Safety: Emergency Services Explained by

Peel Police, providing demonstrations and information on how safety protocols accommodate all individuals and communities.

• Closing Ceremony

Reflect on the week’s impact, refreshments.
