About the Role
· Manage and supervise a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support as needed
· Schedule and assign work orders to mechanics, ensuring efficient use of resources
· Monitor the progress of repairs and maintenance jobs to ensure timely completion
· Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
· Upsell additional services or repairs to customers based on their vehicle's needs
· Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
· Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure smooth operations
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
Requirements
Strong automotive repair knowledge and mechanical aptitude
Previous experience working as a Service Manager within the automotive industry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers
Proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment
Experience in upselling products or services is highly desirable
Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic financial record keeping
Familiarity with dealership operations and processes is preferred.
