Responsibilities:

The CNC Machinist (3,4,5 Axis) will be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Operating and setting up machines to perform machining operations
• Verifying dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery

Requirements:

• Experience in Siemens control is an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read text
• Skilled in document use, numeracy, communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing
• Excellent use of memory, finding information, and continuous learning
• Mazak Mill experience
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and eye-hand coordination
• Completion of High school
• Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training; Machinist Trade Certification
• 5 years or more experience (5 Axis required)
• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Controlled Goods Security Assessment and Background Check (including Criminal Record Check)
