Responsibilities
:

The CMM Programmer is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the CMM Programmer/Technician is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization’s quality assurance policies and identifying defects and or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.

  • Inspect parts for first article inspections and submissions
  • Remove defective items from production, designating reason for removal
  • Report defects to the appropriate manager
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools into processes
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement and by integrating quality control tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes
  • Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization
  • Qualifying the CMM probes daily or as required
  • Writing, Editing, and Developing CMM Programs
  • Practical and demonstrative experience using MCosmos software
  • Dimensionally lay out parts for Sample Submissions or as requested
  • Working with measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education in an appropriate field
  • Minimum 2 years of direct work experience with QA systems, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards
  • Direct knowledge of QA methodologies
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry an asset
  • Advanced GD&T – Applications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating and programming a co-ordinate measuring machine
  • Must have experience using standard measuring/inspection equipment
  • Blueprint Interpretation & Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing skills are necessary
  • Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in offline programming, MCOSMOS
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Security background check on successful candidates
