Our Newcomer Settlement team at Peel Career Assessment Services Inc. coordinated our first ever Canada Day Celebration in 2019.

With red and white everywhere, Halal hotdogs and cake, in true Canadian style, we had energetic performances by Tai Chi Masters and Bollywood dancers, as well as Latin dances for flavour, children’s arts and crafts and Chinese calligraphy.

Speeches welcoming the Newcomer community to Canada were led by PCAS’ Executive Director Dev Maharaj and a representative MPP for the City of Mississauga. All of the activities on this day truly represented what it means to be a proud Canadian and what the country stands for, diversity and multiculturalism.

We look forward to continuing work with the community and celebrating our great country.
